About Us
Dr. Maria Mejia
Mejia originally graduated with her medical degree from “Universidad de Oriente” in Venezuela, and completed her specialty training in Family Medicine at UTMB in Galveston, Texas. Her interests include primary care for the entire family with an emphasis on preventive care and women’s health. Dr. Maria Mejia is excited to have the opportunity to provide high-quality health care to the families of this community and will use her bilingual skills to assist patients struggling to express their medical concerns if English is their second language. She loves cultural diversity, and is very proud of her Latin culture
Dr. Jose Rodriguez
Dr. Jose Rodriguez graduated from UTMB Galveston, Texas specializing in Family Medicine. Dr. Rodriguez graduated as an Orthopedic doctor in Venezuela and has experience managing orthopedic and sports injury cases. He has over 5 years of Urgent Care/ER experience and is transitioning to work full-time with Dr. Mejia. Dr. Rodriguez is bilingual and is looking forward to serving his community by making patient’s care his priority.
Alex Eschette
Alex Eschete is a board certified physician assistant from Mandeville, LA. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Louisiana State University and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, TX. Alex enjoys getting to know her patients and works to build a patient-provider team to provide high quality, preventative focused healthcare.
